Everything you need to know about the paperwork for donating your car in PA.
When donating your vehicle in Pennsylvania, properly transferring the title is crucial. To do this, sign the title in the designated area, and note that notarization is not required for private transfers. If there's a lien holder, contact them to release the title before donation.
After signing, you should notify the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) of the transfer. This can be done online or via mail using form MV-1. If you’ve lost the title, you may apply for a duplicate through PennDOT. Following these steps ensures a smooth transition of ownership.
